Boating 101-ID: BOAT SMART

Service Description

This NASBLA/State of Florida-approved course is intended for anyone interested in obtaining a Florida Boating Safety ID Card required for all persons intending to operate any recreational watercraft with a motor of 10hp or more and born after January 1, 1988. This includes operation of jet skis, fishing boats, ski boats, air boats, sail boats, etc. - any marine vessel with a motor greater than 10hp. Our highly skilled and well-seasoned captains provide classroom instruction, administer the safety exam, and submit results for safety ID processing. This is not an on-line course. This particular 8-hour course with exam is taught in-person classroom style, and will cover topics such as: Boating Safety Preparation & Weather Regulations & Registration Boat & Equipment Checklist Fueling Procedures Navigational Rules & Aids to Navigation Environmental Regulations Additionally, this course meets the first of Florida's mandatory boating safety education requirements for those with certain boating incidents, accidents or violations where a boating safety course is ordered (https://myfwc.com/boating/regulations/mandatory-boating-education/).
